Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles - Manga Review

Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles ended last week *sobs*, So I think it's time to do a review about this great CLAMP'S manga x3 There's 28 volumes and you can read it on One manga or Manga fox, and there's also an anime version of 52 episodes and 5 OVA (Tokyo Revelations and Shunraiki)

Summary : Sakura and Syaoran return, but they're not the people you know. Sakura is theprincess of Clow - and possessor of a mysterious, misunderstood power that promises to change the world. Syaoran is her childhood friend and leader of the archaeological dig that took his father's life. They reside in an alternate reality... where whatever you least expect can happen - and does. When Sakura ventures to the dig site to declare her love for Syaoran, a puzzling symbol is uncovered - which triggers a remarkable quest. Now Syaoran embarks upon a desperate journey, with 3 more peoples( Fye, Kurogane and Mokona x3)through other worlds-all in the name of saving Sakura.

My review : This story wil never stop to surprise you til the end! When you read the summary, you think it's basic and when you start the manga this 1st impression seems to be confirmed but... It's a CLAMP work and you will soon be drawn in a very complex story, with many plot twist! The more you advance, the more the story will grow darker and the action scenes more violent and the character's past and secret will be revealed, which will add more depth to it. Moreover, this manga is linked to an other CLAMP work which is still ongoing, xxxHolic, and the revelation of the true link between the 2 mangas, will slowly comes out, adding suspens to both of the stories. And of course, as you probably noticed with Sakura and Syoran being the main characters, this manga is a BIG crossover xD Many characters from other CLAMP's mangas will make their appearance, though they're said to not exactly be the same as the ones in their original manga, itll make you feel like meeting old friends again xD
Talking about the characters, they have real depth and original personality despite the fact that in the begining you'll see them as stereotypes of usual shonen characters, once you advance in the manga, their personality will fill out, especially during the revelation of their respectives past. I'm of course talking about the 5 mains (not about all the many other crossover characaters they will encouter during their journey xD), which are Sakura, Syoran, Fye (who is mine btw xP), Kurogane and Mokona (the best of the best, he rules xD).
About the drawings now...Well it's CLAMP quality, so they're beautiful, neat, one of a kind...Lol, in short you won't have reason to complain, it's a pleasure to watch ^_^ Well, I have to say though that near the last chapters, the action scenes are messy and confused, but they eventually fix that.
What can I say more? I don't want to spoil you, like wiki -_- It's such a waste, they leave no interest to read the manga (or watch the anime). But anyway, I highly recommend you this manga, especially if you're not a CLAMP fan or never read or see one of their work (is that possible ? xD), it's a manga that reconcile all tastes and is really interesting and addicting (ne kiddo ? :P). Oh, and just to say, you'll understand the meaning of the title at the very end of the manga and you won't see that coming xD

Try this, it's one of CLAMP's best manga, which is something!
